RUMSON, NJ — The Borough of Rumson recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the reopening of Victory Park Playground following a renovation.
The upgraded playground features a new nautical pirate-themed design with fully accessible play equipment, swings, and climbing and physical fitness elements designed for children of all ages and abilities.
Officials said the improvements provide an inclusive recreational space for the community to enjoy.
Construction began at the playground in April 2026.
The replacement project was funded through a donation from Rumson residents Justin and Victoria Gmelich.
