Three quick goals before halftime and strong goalkeeping from Brody Carr gave local fans plenty to cheer as RFH evened its early-season record.
• Reflections on a Day that Changed the World (tworivertimes.com) — Residents connected to Rumson share deeply personal memories of 9/11, from losing classmates at Holy Cross School to staying with family in town as the attacks unfolded. Their stories trace how Monmouth County's grief led to memorials, new careers, and a countywide Day of Remembrance, showing how the Two River community continues to honor loved ones 25 years later.
• Living Memorials: Local Artist Mends Broken Hearts with Ink (tworivertimes.com) — A local tattoo artist is helping Monmouth County residents carry 9/11 memories on their skin, while firehouses in Rumson, Holmdel and Tinton Falls preserve actual steel from the Twin Towers. As the 25th anniversary approaches, firefighters and survivors are turning to both ink and annual motorcycle rides to honor the fallen and remind neighbors never to forget.
