“Jan Wouters is a strong community leader and a dedicated volunteer,” said Monmouth Council Scout Executive Lee Marconi. “He has worked for years to promote programs like Scouting and Big Brothers/Big Sisters that encourage young people to expand their horizons and ‘Do Their Best’ in all aspects of life as proscribed by the Scout Law.”
“I am honored to have been selected for this award,” said Wouters. “Scouting is an amazing program that offers so many opportunities for young people to learn and grow. I don't know of any other organization that could have better prepared me to serve my family, my job and the community than the Boy Scouts of America.”
