The Band Of Two Rivers will be performing FREE summer concert Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 7:00pm at Colts Neck Municipal Bldg. Our 501c3 Nonprofit Band is in their 29 Season! 
We are celebrating our nation’s 250 birthday by programming an All-American concert. We will be performing music from the Revolutionary War period to our Westward expansion, up to ragtime, Dixieland, swing era, and recent Broadway highlights. The Band will also honor the Native American cultures and African American spiritual traditions. Donations are graciously accepted.

The Walsh Family foundation's inaugural awards have been announced.&nbsp; Through the Bold.org platform the Walsh Family Foundation has forged their Scholarship to be awarded to three students.&nbsp; One each from Raritan, Communications and Middletown High School North, named for each of the Walsh sons that graduated from these schools. The Chairman, Ron Walsh will be making the announcements to the schools this week, just in time for the schools awards ceremonies.&nbsp; "It is with great pleasure that the Walsh family is able to help students pursue their respective college dreams"&nbsp;&nbsp;

The Atlantic Highlands Yacht Club (AHYC) invites the community to experience the thrill of sailing with its Adult Sailing Lessons and Youth Keelboat Sailing Program, offering hands-on instruction, teamwork, and unforgettable time on the water in Atlantic Highlands Harbor and Sandy Hook Bay.
<h3>Adult Sailing Lessons Now Open</h3>
Designed for beginners and those looking to build confidence on the water, AHYC’s Adult Sailing Program provides a comprehensive introduction to sailing led by U.S. Sailing-certified instructors.
Participants begin with on-land instruction, learning the fundamentals of sailing and hands-on rigging of the Flying Scot, a stable and comfortable 19-foot sailboat ideal for both leisure and racing. As skills develop, sailors may also have the opportunity to sail larger vessels, including a BluSail 24’ and a Peterson 34’.
<h3>Youth Keelboat Sailing Program Builds Skills and Confidence</h3>
<a href="https://www.regattanetwork.com/clubmgmt/applet_registration_form.php?regatta_id=31110" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">AHYC’s Keelboat Youth Sailing Program,</a> June 8 - August 10, 2026,&nbsp;offers a dynamic summer-long experience for young sailors ages 12–18, combining sailing instruction with leadership development and competitive racing.
Participants will:
<ul><li>Learn to operate and sail a keelboat as part of a team</li><li>Build navigation, communication, and teamwork skills</li><li>Compete in local regattas and races, often alongside adult crews</li><li>Gain experience managing a vessel with guidance from qualified chaperones</li></ul>
While safety is always prioritized, students take an active leadership role on the boats, developing independence and confidence on the water.

Waterspirit’s Walk for Water will take place on Saturday June 13, 2026 from 9am - 11am.
Globally, the average distance a person has to travel to get potable water is 3.5 miles. Join us as we walk up to 3.5 miles to raise awareness about the importance of access to the sacred, life-giving element of water.
We will walk starting a 9am at Hartshorne Park's Battery Loop (near 1402 Portland Rd. Highlands, NJ 07732). We will meet in the parking lot area with bagels and coffee and then walk 2 loops. Join Waterspirit for the full 3.5 miles (2 loops) walk or come join for as long as you can! Each loop should take about 45 minutes. 
Can't join Waterspirit on June 13? Sign up and walk on your own or create your own team of walkers and walk ANYWHERE and ANYTIME for water.
Set your goal, share your progress with your friends &amp; family, and celebrate the spring by getting outside for a good cause! Your team of supporters can use your special link to donate as you walk. Don't forget to tag #WaterspiritWalkForWater when you share this event on social media!
