Children's Literature Will Inspire Waterspirit Book Club In Rumson

The Waterspirit environmental nonprofit, based in Rumson, will read children's literature about nature and plans to donate the books.

RUMSON, NJ — This summer, members of the Waterspirit Book Club will explore the work of children's literature.

Instead of members reading the same book, each member will read a different children's book that explores spirituality, nature and action.

The organization says it "wants to know what new books are out there that will inspire children to love and protect nature."

The meeting is free for one attendee, but the organization suggests making a $15 donation to support Waterspirit's eco-spiritual programs and water advocacy campaigns.

According to its website, the Waterspirit organization advocates a reverence for water includes a commitment to preserve and protect this source and sustainer of life. Programs, learning, reflection, and ritual lead to action on behalf of water.
