Fair Haven Democrats Announce Jessica Patel as Candidate for Fair Haven Borough Council

FAIR HAVEN DEMOCRATS ANNOUNCE JESSICA PATEL AS CANDIDATE FOR FAIR HAVEN BOROUGH COUNCIL
Pledges to Uphold Community Traditions While Bringing Fresh Perspective and Energy
Fair Haven, NJ – Tuesday, August 29, 2017 – Today, Jessica Patel of Fair Haven declared her candidacy for Fair Haven Borough Council. Mrs. Patel takes over the ballot spot formerly held by Mary Pat Gendelman.
“I am honored to announce my candidacy for Borough Council, and I look forward to the opportunity to be an advocate and an ally for the people of our town,” said Mrs. Patel. “With four children in Fair Haven’s public schools, and a 72-year-young father who lives with us, I know what young families want, and I see firsthand what our seniors need, too. I intend to use the tools at my disposal to bring our residents together toward common goals and a unified vision.”
Mrs. Patel’s entrepreneurial spirit, passion for her community and degrees in education, marketing and journalism, give her a unique skill set to tackle the obstacles and challenges presented to the borough.

Mrs. Patel has lived in Fair Haven for 10 years. She is co-founder and vice president of marketing for We Gift, a software company focused on charitable fundraising. She is a registered yoga teacher and an active member of the Fair Haven community. She is the Den Leader for Cub Scout Pack 127, and participates in the school system as an active PTA member, has been a class parent at Sickles Elementary School, and served as Art Appreciation Day grade level chair. Additionally, she volunteers her time to help at the town’s Harvest Fest and Firemen’s Fair. Jess has an M.Ed in Early Childhood Education from Hunter College and a B.S. from NYU.

We know that she will employ sound fiscal judgement for our town, while bringing fresh perspectives, passion, and energy to the Council with a focus on creating and maintaining strong infrastructure for our thriving community,” said Christopher Rodriguez, Fair Haven Borough Council member.
