Fair Haven Native on U.S. Olympics Swim Team
Rumson-Fair Haven's Connor Jaeger heads to Rio in August, in his second quest for Olympic gold.

Rumson, NJ - A former star swimmer at Rumson-Fair Haven High School, Connor Jaeger, just secured a spot on the U.S. Olympic men's swimming team and will be heading to Rio.
Jaeger came in first in the 400 freestyle final at the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials, held Sunday, June 26 in Omaha, Nebraska, securing his spot on the 2016 Summer Olympics team, reported the Asbury Park Press.
It will be Jaeger's second quest for Olympic gold, as he took part in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, finishing sixth.

“The idea was just to get him swim lessons so we could go to the beach club and he wouldn’t drown,” his mom, Bernadette Jaeger, told Patch back in 2012, chatting about her son at the breakfast nook in the kitchen of her Fair Haven home.
Jaeger swam for the University of Michigan after graduating from Rumson-Fair Haven.
