Fair Haven Sailing Organization To Host Memorial Day Open House
Club members will be in attendance to talk about sailing and membership programs offered by the group.

FAIR HAVEN, NJ — The Fair Haven River Rats, a 70-year-old all-volunteer sailing organization on the Navesink River, will host a community open house on Memorial Day.
Set to take place on Monday, May 25, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m, the open house will be free and open to the public, allowing attendees to spend a summer afternoon in “a beautiful location on the water.”
Reservations are not needed. For those interested in sailing, club members will be in attendance to talk about the sailing and membership programs offered by River Rats, such as their junior and adult sailing programs.

Membership is not needed to take part in the classes; however, members receive substantial discounts and have first priority.
The flagship youth sailing program has trained over 5,000 children to date, and the adult training program allows entire families to learn to sail together.

River Rats also offers mooring space for members, along with berths for kayaks and paddle boards, and seasonal social events including sailing races and BBQ nights.
