Why you should go: Love roses? Meet your kind of people and discuss rose growing in Central New Jersey. All are welcome, no prerequisite rose knowledge required. Bill Kozemchak, a rosarian and rose judge for the Philadelphia Rose Society, is slated to speak about exhibiting roses. Refreshments will be served.

Why you should go: Musicians on a Mission will present an evening of live music from many genres. Billed as a "feast for all five senses," it will feature country, jazz, classical, folk, and blues.There will also be free hand and neck massages, savory tapas and punch, and a chance to win a gift basket.

When and where: Sunday, Feb. 26 from 3 p.m. at  in Little Silver

Why you should go: Local rocker and restauranteur Tim McLoone and his merry band of Shirleys will team up with performing arts students for this Sunday afternoon concert at RBR.

What does it cost: $20 adults, $10 students and seniors. Purchase online.
