Irish Film Festival

Irish Film Festival featuring some of the best of Irish films today. Middletown Arts Center, 23rd April.

Claddagh na nGael is a local 501c-3 non-profit branch of Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann whose mission is to promote Irish culture along the northern NJ seashore. As part of it's annual fundraising campaign it is launching its first Irish Film Festival screening some of the most interesting "Shorts", gripping documentaries and absolutely hysterical comedies. These are Irish films, made in Ireland, about Irish people, places, events and culture. This will be a fun-filled absolutely loaded day. The films will be programmed alongside lectures by Micheal OMaille, works by the Irish artist Patrick Gallagher as well as music provided by Chris Byrne (Black47 fame) and his band "The Lost Tribe of Donegal". It's all about the Irish forms of artistic expression, knowledge, and craic. And the Craic will be Mighty! Food & beverages will be sold. For more information go to www.irishfilmfest.org and support Irish culture!
