Jersey Shore Grille Reopens Under New Ownership: See Details

SEA BRIGHT, NJ — A beloved Jersey Shore restaurant has reopened under new ownership.

Woody’s Ocean Grille, located at 1 East Church Street in Sea Bright, reopened in mid-April after the restaurant closed in the spring for renovations.

According to an online post from the Grille, former owner Chris Wood sold the restaurant in February to Richard Corbo and partners, Ken and Vinnie Hager, of RBC Hospitality Group.

Though Wood sold the Grille, he said that Corbo and his team will be “keeping the Woody’s name and spirit we all love, while bringing his signature culinary expertise to the table.”

“He isn’t looking to ‘reinvent the wheel;’ he understands the soul of this place just as well as we do and is dedicated to enhancing Woody’s with exceptional service and quality for years to come,” Wood said. “I’m incredibly excited to see what comes next and to celebrate our 15-year anniversary with all of you this August.”

On April 17, the Grille posted that they're officially back and invited guests to join them for “great food, drinks and good times.”

According to the Woody’s website, the Grille’s new menu “still features fun, light-hearted bar and grill cuisine, now with the addition of regionally inspired East Coast seafood.”

Current menu options range from poke to handheld sandwiches, oysters, fish and more. The Grille also offers a variety of drink options, including cocktails.

“At Woody’s, everything we do comes from a real passion for cooking and good food,” Corbo said in an online post. “For us, it’s about more than just the food. It’s about the experience, the consistency and making sure that everything that comes out is something that we’re proud of.”

Woody’s Ocean Grille is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday through Saturday.
