Format
There will be three fleets racing. There will be a “bridge” race open to all sailboats and will use the Portsmouth Handicap system. The bridge race will consist of a Cruising fleet and a One-Design Fleet. The race will be held between the Oceanic Bridge and Lewis Point. A fleet for junior sailors using Optimist prams will sail a series of short races on courses off the SRYC anchorage. Participants can use the town launch ramp and docks at SRYC and FHSC. Overnight mooring will be available at SRYC and FHSC.
Awards
Awards will be provided to the First Place Finishers in all fleets.
The Mayor’s Cup will be awarded to the First Place Finishers in the Cruising and One-Design Fleets based on corrected time using the Portsmouth Handicap. Gold, Silver and Bronze awards will be provided to Optimist sailors.
The NJYRA Irwin Bowl which is the Senior Men’s Championship will be awarded to a NJYRA member in either fleet with the best corrected time using the Portsmouth Handicap.

Optimists: All participants must be age 17 or under as of July 2, 2016.
Schedule
Date: July 2, 2016
Registration: Online or at beginning at 0900 on July 2 at SRYC & FHSC.
Start: 1000 for the first fleet.
Participants are invited to SRYC for awards and a post race BBQ ($10 except for captain.)
Registration
Completed registration forms & fees must be returned to SRYC by June 30, 2016. Late registrations will be accepted on July 2 at SRYC or FHSC. Participants are urged to register early so that proper planning can be done. Registration forms are available at www.sryc.net, www.riverratssailing.organd www.FairHavenNJ.org. Completed registrations can also be mailed to SRYC, PO Box 685, Fair Haven, NJ, 07704. Please Email questions to Sam Oncea at FHMayorsCup@gmail.com. All racers must have completed registration.
Entry Fee: $40 per boat payable to “SRYC” for Mayor’s Cup; $45 for Mayor’s Cup AND Irwin Bowl (if eligible). $35 for Opti Sailors.
