Paddleboarder Rescued Off Sea Bright Beach Sunday
A fisherman fell off the rocks at Manasquan Inlet Sunday, and local surfers saved a man paddleboarding who nearly drowned off Sea Bright.

SEA BRIGHT, NJ — The rough water off the Jersey Shore this past weekend required multiple people to be rescued up and down the coast.
Not only did a fisherman die after he slipped and fell off the rocks at the Manasquan Inlet Sunday, but at 11:20 a.m. Sunday a paddleboarder in distress had to be rescued off Via Ripa Beach in Sea Bright, reported the Sea Bright volunteer fire department.
The man was pulled from the water by local surfers, and he was unconscious.

The surfers were giving him CPR, removed from the water by local surfers and CPR being administered. The man's pulse and breathing were regained, and he was taken off the beach conscious. He was taken to a nearby trauma center by the Sea Bright EMS and is expected to make a full recovery. The man has not been identified.
"Two of some of our most important messages were displayed here: never swimming alone and learning CPR!," said Sea Bright Fire.
