Registration is open for JLMC's GIRLS Make a Difference Day April 23rd
CALLING ALL YOUNG WOMEN IN GRADES 6-8 to participate in a fun and educational session about taking care of our environment!

The Junior League of Monmouth County (JLMC) is hosting its next Make a Difference Day for Girls in Grades 6-8 on April 23rd from 10am to 1pm at JLMC Headquarters at 55 Center Street in Rumson. Through Make a Difference Day, girls learn, grow, and create lasting impact through volunteer service. JLMC’s Service-Learning initiative engages youth in service to meet learning objectives and address real-world issues.
April's Make a Difference Day is a fun and educational session about taking care of our environment and why it is so important. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Go Green!
Why the beach?
We all spend our summers enjoying the benefits of our community’s location in the heart of the Jersey Shore. But how much do we know about how littering and pollution negatively impact the fragile ecosystem of the beach environment and the animals who live there.
What will we do?
Our Make a Difference Day will be an interactive morning where we visit our local shores, take stock of their condition, conduct our first-ever beach sweep, and learn about how young people can mobilize to have a positive impact on our local environment.
To close our day, we will create an art installation to be displayed that reflects how we made a difference in our community today and what we can do everyday to continue protecting our environment!
RSVP is open to all girls in grades 6-8. Please note that space is limited.
Lunch and transportation from JLMC Headquarters will be provided.
