RFH Tower Players Recognized for Excellence by Count Basie Theatre, Montclair University, and Paper Mill Playhouse

The Tower Players of Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School earned nine Count Basie Award nominations for their fall 2013 production of "The Three Musketeers -- All Swash and No Buckle" and five for their spring 2014 musical production, "Evita". The RFH troupe took home five Count Basie Awards and also received honors from Montclair State University and the Paper Mill Playhouse.

At the Ninth Annual Count Basie Awards Ceremony held on May 21 in Red Bank, the RFH Tower Players won the award for Outstanding Production of a Drama for "The Three Musketeers". "The Three Musketeers" also won Outstanding Direction in a Drama by drama/English teacher Suzanne Sweeney. RFH social studies teacher Matthew Leddin received the award for Outstanding Lighting Design in a Drama for the production as well. In addition, RFH senior Christopher Brodsky was recognized as Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama for his portrayal of D'Artagnan, and RFH junior Christopher Tuttle received the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama for his role as Rochefort.

The Tower Players were also honored with two awards at the Sixth Annual Montclair Theater Night Awards ceremony held on May 12. The troupe earned Outstanding Achievement by an Acting Ensemble and Outstanding Production of a New Work or Adaptation for "The Three Musketeers".

At the 2014 Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Awards Ceremony held in Millburn on June 3, the RFH Tower Players received an Honorable Mention for Costume Design and made it into the final round of nominations for the Educational Impact Award for "Evita".
