Rumson-Fair Haven High Named One Of Top 100 High Schools In State

Rumson-Fair Haven High School has been ranked number 36 of the top 100 high schools in New Jersey, according to Niche.com

Niche.com is dedicated to evaluating U.S. and Puerto Rican schools based on parent and student reviews. The site reported that parent/student surveys gave Rumson-Fair Haven an overall grade of A+.

The 9-12 public high school on Ridge Road has 910 students. Of that amount, 96 percent are proficient in mathematics, and 99 are proficient in reading, Niche.com found. The high school has a 99 percent graduation rate, compared to the national average of 81 percent.

The website uses a very detailed set of methods to rank the top 100 schools in New Jersey. The site collected 4.6 million opinions from 280,000 New Jersey students and parents.

According to Niche.com, a high overall ranking includes the following criteria:

• Students are very happy with their experience in all aspects including academics, teachers, health, safety, resources, facilities, extracurriculars, sports, and fitness;
• District schools are exceptional academic institutions in terms of teachers, students, resources for learning, and student outcomes;
• District schools are made up of a diverse population and fosters an accepting, positive school culture;
• Students are actively involved in a variety of extracurriculars and sports the district offers.
