Rumson-Fair Haven Students Pencil In A Return To Class

Books, calculators and mechanical pencils are nearly ready as RFH students prepare to begin the 2026-27 school year.

RUMSON-FAIR HAVEN, NJ — Books, calculators and mechanical pencils are almost ready to go as Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School students return to class Wednesday.

Students should report to their first-period classrooms by 7:45 a.m., according to the school’s opening information for families. The high school will run all eight periods on opening day, giving students a chance to meet each teacher before the regular rotating schedule begins next Thursday.

In the 2026-27 Parent and Student Summer Timeline Letter, Principal Stephen Sarles said the school is “eagerly anticipating the return of our students” and hopes to make the coming year a positive one.

Families must complete their annual forms through the Genesis Parent Portal before student schedules become visible. The district also encourages parents to keep their email addresses and phone numbers current because it uses Finalsite to share school announcements, closures and emergency information.

Students will have a short first week before the school closes Monday for Labor Day. Classes resume next Tuesday with a Day 3 schedule.
