Rumson-Fair Haven's Kate Fahey Wins State Tennis Singles Championship
Rumson resident and Kate Fahey took home the win on Friday at the NJSIAA Tennis singles tournament.

Rumson resident Kate Fahey has brought home the state singles championship for tennis for Rumon-Fair Haven Regional High School.
Fahey is the first state singles champion in Rumson history with a 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 victory over Millburn’s Stephanie Schrage, according to the Star Ledger. Fahey competed nationally last year, and was ranked as the top seed for her senior year this season. Fahey has plans to attend the University of Michigan in the Fall, and told the Star Ledger that this year’s win was her “last chance to get it.”
“I’m so happy I was able to take that pressure and translate it into focusing,” Fahey said.
