Rumson Man Named As Trustee Of Sandy Hook Foundation

The foundation aims to protect and preserve Sandy Hook's natural, cultural and historic resources while enhancing the visitor experience.

RUMSON, NJ — A local man has been welcomed to the Sandy Hook Foundation’s Board of Trustees, the foundation recently announced.

Jeff Walling, of Rumson, was welcomed to the board alongside Jeff Burman in January.

As members of the board, the two will support the foundation’s mission to protect and preserve Sandy Hook’s natural, cultural, and historic resources while enhancing the experience of all park visitors.

“The Sandy Hook Foundation is excited to welcome both Jeff Burman and Jeff Walling as the newest members of our board,” said Pete Izzo, Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

“The Foundation is entering an exciting time of growth, not only within the organization, but in the importance of our relationship with the National Park Service,” Izzo continued. “We look forward to leaning on Jeff and Jeff’s expertise and passion for our park as we move ahead.”

A partner at KPMG (a global organization of independent service firms providing audit, tax and advisory services), Walling was born and raised in Monmouth County and now lives in Rumson with his wife, Elisa, daughters, Cecilia and Sofia, and their dog, Remi.

As an avid outdoor enthusiast, he and his family spend much of their time enjoying the beaches, trails, and natural beauty of Sandy Hook. This connection has inspired his deep appreciation for this unique coastal resource.

Through his role on the Board of Trustees, Walling said he looks forward to leveraging his professional experience and lifelong connection to the area to support preservation efforts and help enhance the visitor experience for all who come to enjoy Sandy Hook.
