Rumson St. Patrick’s Day Parade To Return For 2026: See Details
Set to take place on Sunday, the parade promises to be "a celebration of community, heritage and the unique spirit of Rumson."
RUMSON, NJ — The Rumson St. Patrick’s Day Parade is set to return for 2026, bringing with it “a celebration of community, heritage and the unique spirit of Rumson.”
At 1 p.m. on Sunday, the parade will kick off at Allen Street and River Road, with music, parade floats and more for attendees to enjoy.
For this year’s parade, Grace Hanlon has been selected as the 2026 Grand Marshal and will help lead the parade through town.

According to her online bio, Hanlon has been a Monmouth County resident since childhood and currently serves as the Executive Director of The Jersey Shore Partnership.
“Grace proudly traces her Irish heritage on both sides of her family,” her bio reads. “On her mother’s side, she is the granddaughter of Joseph and Grace Harkin Quinn (her namesake), who immigrated to America in the early 1900s. Her father’s family, the Hanlons, arrived generations earlier.”

Started in 2013, the mission of the Rumson St. Patrick’s Day Parade is to honor Irish culture while giving back to the community that makes it all possible, according to the parade website.
Over the years, the parade has provided financial support to over 22 local organizations, with past Grand Marshals including leaders such as former Governor Phil Murphy, Brigadier General Pete Dawkins and more.
“The Rumson St. Patrick's Day Parade is more than just a parade — it’s a day where we come together as neighbors, friends, and families to celebrate the vibrant spirit of our town,” the event’s history page reads.
“Since 2013, this tradition has united us, and we look forward to continuing to create lasting memories for generations to come,” the page continues. “Because in Rumson, every day is special, but St. Patrick’s Day is extraordinary.”
The Rumson St. Patrick’s Day Parade route will start on Allen Street and River Road and end at the intersection of Carton Street and Forrest Avenue (about one mile).
The parade is expected to last about 90 minutes.
