Swidryk Takes Home Bronze Medal At National Indoor Archery Championships

Swidryk competed shooting the Olympic recurve bow against many highly-skilled East Coast competitors.

FAIR HAVEN - Nikolas Swidryk is an honor student and sophomore at Rumson Fair Haven High School. He competed at the 2016 U.S. JOAD (Junior Olympic Archery Development) National Indoor Championships at James Madison University in Harrisonburg Virginia this past weekend (3/11-3/13/16), where he won the Bronze medal. He competed shooting the Olympic recurve bow. Participants came from throughout the East coast.

The medal was presented to Nikolas by Jacob Wukie, the silver medalist who competed at the 2012 Olympics in London. Jacob is also a graduate of James Madison University and also competed with Nikolas in the 47 U.S. Indoor National Championships.

Nikolas has been competing with the Two River Archers team under Head Coach Brian Rogers and is also training under coaches KC Chiu and John Nyberg at WA-XO-BE Archery club in Monmouth Junction New Jersey.
