WEATHER ALERT: Hour-By-Hour Forecast Of Fierce Winds, Snow, Then Rain On The Way For Long Branch, Eatontown

Wind chills will drop to nearly 20 below zero but it will get warmer as the next storm moves in this weekend.

Long Branch and Eatontown residents should brace for another round of bone-chilling temperatures and nasty weather this weekend, as temperatures begin to drop in advance of another storm that will bring snow, ice, rain and strong winds, according to forecasters.

The National Weather Service again has issued a wind chill advisory and a hazardous weather alert, warning of wind chills as low as 10 below zero tonight and into Friday morning, with wind gusts up to 30 mph. On Saturday, precipitation is expected, beginning as snow in the afternoon and changing over to rain as temperatures rise into the mid-40s. If you have to travel, beware because other parts of the state are expected to get snow and ice.

Temperatures will sink to dangerous lows tonight and into Friday, bottoming out at 1 degree by sunrise, before rising to 16 degrees during the day. Wind will peak at about 18 mph during the day, making the wind chill temperature zero degrees, but the winds will start to taper off, falling to minimal breezes overnight, with a low of 8 degrees.
