Winter Ecology Walk/Talk: Life in the Cold

There will be a winter walk through the trails of FAIR HAVEN FIELDS NATURAL AREA.

Bill Shadel, local Naturalist and Botanist, will lead the walk as we look for signs of animal activity. He will use the Natural Area to show how the winter landscape and temperatures affect critters: those who survive in place and those who get the heck out of town. If we’re lucky, we might have some recent snow and look for tracks and other signs. Participants are encouraged to ask questions and offer observations.

Meet at 10:00am at the Ridge Road entrance of the Natural Area. Registration not required.

All welcome, but no dogs please.
