Foo Fighters to open for AC/DC at rescheduled MetLife Stadium concert (northjersey.com) ā AC/DC's rescheduled MetLife Stadium show in East Rutherford will now take place on October 2, with Foo Fighters newly added as the opening act. Tickets for the final date of AC/DC's Power Up Tour remain available, and previously purchased tickets from the postponed September 25 concert will be honored on the new date.

NJIC Football Defensive Players of the Week, Sept. 24-28 (nj.com subscription) ā Rutherford football fans will be happy to see senior linebacker John Kozlik recognized among the NJIC Defensive Players of the Week after leading all players with 11 tackles in a 27-21 win over Becton. The roundup also highlights standout defensive efforts from players at Cresskill-Emerson Boro, Garfield, North Arlington, and Wood-Ridge across North Jersey.

This Week in Italian Food News (Sept. 28) (appetitomagazine.com) ā A new Sicilian food hub, Little Sicily, has opened at Manfredi Barbera & Figli's U.S. headquarters in Rutherford, offering tastings, cultural events, and business meetings that connect Sicilian producers with American buyers. Local officials, including Rutherford's mayor, joined regional and Italian dignitaries at the ribbon-cutting, while the rest of the piece highlights other Italian food openings and events in nearby cities.

Try Hong Kong-style BBQ and more at North Jersey's newest restaurants (northjersey.com) ā North Jersey diners get a wave of new restaurant options this fall, including a Hackensack Dumpling Dojo that previously operated in Rutherford and a Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings outpost at American Dream in East Rutherford. The roundup spans Bergen and Morris counties, spotlighting everything from Hong Kong-style BBQ and Korean fried chicken to bagel shops and a new Mexican kitchen and mezcal bar.
