1 New Coronavirus Case In Fanwood, Brings Total To 96

SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ — Fanwood is reporting one new coronavirus case bringing the township total to 96 confirmed cases as of Friday, according to the the Westfield Regional Health Department.

For any residents struggling during the pandemic or any other time of need, Fanwood is offering help, Mayor Colleen Mahr said. For assistance with food insecurity, illness, or unemployment issues, reach out to mayor@fanwoodnj.org.

Scotch Plains is reporting their total number of cases is 280 and 14 deaths as of Friday, June 12 of those cases 166 have recovered, according to the township.

Union County has a total of 16,351 cases and 1,112 deaths as of Friday, according to the state.

Here are the new reopenings:

• Libraries can do curbside pickup
• Beauty salons can open on June 22
• Barber shops can open on June 22
• Cosmetology shops can open on June 22
• Day and medical spas (not steam rooms, saunas or shared bathing facilities) can open on June 22
• Electrology facilities can open on June 22
• Hair-braiding shops can open on June 22
• Massage parlors can open on June 22
• Nail salons can open on June 22
• Tanning salons can open on June 22
• Tattoo parlors can open on June 22
