2 DUI, 4 Marijuana Arrests Made In Scotch Plains

Scotch Plains Police report making arrests for driving under the influence, marijuana possession, and warrants recently.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — Scotch Plains Police report making arrests for driving under the influence, marijuana possession, and warrants recently.

Scotch Plains Police Blotter:

On July 6: The management of the U-Haul located at 2015 Rt.22 reported the theft of a box trailer from the property during the overnight hours. The trailer is valued at $10,000 and has been entered stolen.

On July 6: A resident in the 1800 block of Lamberts Mill Rd. reported a fraud. Someone made unauthorized transactions on the victim’s debit card. This is under investigation.

On July 6: Adrian X. Farfan, 24, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Dave Belford. He was transported to headquarters and processed.

On July 7: A resident in the 1600 block of King Street reported a theft. The resident saw a black man in his late teens steal his son’s 2015 black Raleigh mountain bike valued at $400. Officers responded to the area and were unable to locate the suspect.

On July 8: Jason B. Barthe, 29, of South Plainfield was arrested and charged with driving under the influence during a motor vehicle accident investigation conducted by Patrolman Chris Ostrowski. He was transported to headquarters and processed. No injuries were reported.

On July 8: Lawrence A. Warren, 26, of East Orange was arrested and charged with driving under the influence during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Scott Leyden. He was transported to headquarters and processed.

On July 9: Jessica Cargua, 23, of Elizabeth was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Scotch Plains by Patrolman Charles Tripet. She was transported to headquarters and processed.

On July 9: Gina R. Amaya-Monge, 27, of Union was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Also arrested was Daniela M. Monge, 23, of Vauxhall who was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Irvington. Both arrests were the result of a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Andrew Gitto. Both parties were transported to headquarters and processed.

On July 10: Whitney L. Tylicki, 31, of Sayreville was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Scotch Plains by Officer Tricia DiLollo. She was transported to headquarters and processed and transported to Union County Jail.

On July 11: Lenice K. Bowers, 21, of Cleveland Heights, Ohio was arrested and charged with hindering apprehension during a suspicious persons call in the Country Club apartments by Patrolman Ted Florio. He was transported to headquarters and processed.

On July 11: A Fanwood resident reported that theft of their sons Kent LaJolla bicycle valued at $100. The theft occurred from in front of 1740 E. Second St. at approximately 6 p.m.

On July 12: Amir D. Bryant, 18, of Linden was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. Also arrested was Qualiyah C. Medy, 19, of Linden also charged with possession of marijuana. The arrests were the result of a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Mike Smolinski. They were transported to headquarters and processed.

On July 14: Efraim W. Diaz, 27, of Jersey City was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, hindering apprehension as well as outstanding warrants out of Hudson County and Jersey City during a suspicious person investigation conducted by Patrolman Dave Belford. He was transported to headquarters and processed.
