4 Vehicles Burglarized In 1 Day In Scotch Plains

Scotch Plains Police also reported a package theft recently.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — A total of four vehicles were reportedly burglarized on the same day recently in Scotch Plains, police report.

All of the burglaries were reported on March 23.

A resident on Highlander Drive reported both of his vehicles were entered overnight. Miscellaneous items were taken. This remains under investigation.

A resident on Heather Lane reported his vehicle entered during the overnight hours. Miscellaneous items taken. This remains under investigation.

A resident on Clarks Lane reported the vehicle entered during the overnight hours. This remains under investigation.

Other Scotch Plains Police blotter items:

On March 19: Christian D. Mason, 28, of Somerset was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of New Brunswick during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Devon Turner. Mason was transported to headquarters and processed.

On March 20: A resident on Treeview Circle reported the theft of a package which was delivered to his home. This remains under investigation.

On March 21: Kemar R. Purcell, 39, of Clark was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Scotch Plains by Patrolman Alex Sanchez. Purcell was processed at headquarters and released.

On March 22: A resident on Allenby Lane reported a fraud. Someone opened several cellular accounts in the victim’s name. This remains under investigation.

On March 22: A resident on Sims Avenue reported a fraud. The victims noticed several unauthorized transactions on his bank account. This remains under investigation.

On March 22: A resident reported damage to the door lock of a work truck which was parked on E. 2nd Street overnight. This remains under investigation.
