5 Scotch Plains Homes, Cars Burglarized Last Week
A man also reportedly stole cigarettes from the Sunoco gas station last week, police said.
SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — A total of five homes and cars were burglarized last week in Scotch Plains, police report.
Here is a list of the burglaries and a theft, according to the Scotch Plains Police blotter:
On Aug. 25: A resident in the 1800 block of Mountain Avenue reported a burglary during the overnight hours. Under investigation.

On Aug. 27: A motor vehicle burglary was reported on Johnson Street. Officers located the victim's purse on a neighboring street. This occurred during the overnight hours. Under investigation.
On Aug. 27: A motor vehicle burglary was reported in the 300 block of Jerusalem Road during the overnight hours. Under investigation.

On Aug. 28: A burglary was reported in the 1800 block of Front Street during the overnight hours. Under investigation.
On Aug. 29: The management at the Sunoco gas station located at 1746 Rt. 22 reported the theft of cigarettes. He noticed a man behind the counter and when confronted the man fled down Myrtle Avenue on foot. Under investigation.
On Aug. 30: A resident in the 400 block of Warren Street reported a motor vehicle burglary, which occurred during the overnight hours. Under investigation.
