Air Conditioning Issue Closes Scotch Plains Library
The Scotch Plains Library will close for the rest of the day, Wednesday, due to the air conditioning problem.
SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — The Scotch Plains Library will close for the rest of the day, Wednesday, due to a malfunction of the air conditioning system, police announced at 1 p.m.
A heat advisory is currently in effect for the area with heat index values predicted to hit around 100 to 105 due to temperatures in the mid 90s, and dewpoints in the lower to mid 70s, the National Weather Service reported.
An air quality alert is also in effect due to the heat.
