SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — A local high school student is offering seniors a free crash course in artificial intelligence later this month — and the agenda covers a lot more than just chatbots.
Manav Shah, a junior at Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School and founder of Seniors Bridge to AI, will lead a workshop on Tuesday, May 19, from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Shady Rest Clubhouse, 820 Jerusalem Road, Scotch Plains.
The event is free and open to seniors looking to get more comfortable with technology in their everyday lives.
Topics will include how to simplify video calls and email, discover new recipes and meal planning tools, stay safe online, use AI chat and translation tools, and share photos or design greeting cards.
Coffee and donuts will be provided.
Shah launched Seniors Bridge to AI with the goal of helping older adults connect with family and explore new hobbies through technology — without the overwhelm.
The workshop is free and no prior experience is required.
