$11K Missing From Scotch Plains Resident’s Bank Accounts, Police Say

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — A Scotch Plains resident reported losing more than $11,000 after unauthorized withdrawals were made from several bank accounts, according to the Scotch Plains Police Department.

The resident reported the incident on July 9 and told police they were unsure how the accounts were accessed.

Police did not release additional details about the withdrawals or whether anyone has been identified in connection with the reported fraud.

The incident remains under investigation.
