SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — A little kindness could become part of Scotch Plains history this weekend.
Scotch Plains Township is inviting residents to share 250 acts of kindness during a special farmers market celebration Saturday, Oct. 17, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the municipal lot, 430 Park Avenue.
According to the township's announcement, the submissions will be sealed in a time capsule for future generations.
The township is also challenging the 2076 administration to complete 300 acts of kindness.
Visitors can enjoy face painting, a patriotic selfie station and farmers market vendors.
"Did you help a neighbor? Share a smile? Lend a hand? Make someone's day a little brighter? We want to hear about it!" Scotch Plains Township wrote in its announcement.
