Join fellow movie lovers at the Scotch Plains Public Library each Friday at noon for Friday Films. In April, the library will be showing a few movies celebrated at the Oscars. No registration is necessary.
April 5: A Star is Born (R, 135 min) – Seasoned musician Jackson Maine discovers—and falls in love with—struggling artist Ally. But as Ally’s career takes off, the personal side of their relationship is breaking down, as Jack fights an ongoing battle with his own internal demons.
April 12: Black Panther (PG-13, 135 min) – A superhero known as Black Panther defends Wakanda, a technologically advanced country in Africa that has hidden itself away from the rest of the world. Now, he must face a dissident who wants to sell the country’s natural resources to fund an uprising.
