Assault At Grillstone Bar Leads To Arrest

Fraud was also reported multiple times to Scotch Plains Police recently, according to the blotter.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — An assault at a Scotch Plains restaurant led to an arrest recently.

On Aug. 19, Michael J. O’Connor, 33, of Edison was arrested for assault during an altercation at the Grillstone Bar and Grill located at 2377 Route 22, Scotch Plains Police reported.

Also arrested was Patrick J. Mcoll, 28, of Somerset charged with possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of a weapon, police said.

Both were arrested by Officer Stephanie Roggina and Officer Joe Kostecki, transported to headquarters and processed.

On Aug. 20: A resident in the 2500 block of Mountain Avenue reported fraudulent activity on an internet account. This remains under investigation.

On Aug. 22: A resident on Lake Avenue reported fraudulent purchases made on a credit card account. This remains under investigation.

On Aug. 22: Aaron M. Brooks, 26, of Rahway was arrested on active warrants out of Scotch
Plains by Patrolman Chris Ostrowski.

On Aug. 24: George W. Thomas, 63, of Edison was arrested on an active warrant out of Trenton by Patrolman Willie DeJesus. Thomas was transported to headquarters and processed.

On Aug. 24: Olguer A. Flores-Toalombo, 31, of Dunellen was arrested on an active warrant out of the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Department during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Mike Smolinski. Flores-Toalombo was transported to headquarters and processed.

On Aug. 26: A resident on Mary Ellen Lane reported a fraud. Several credit cards were opened in the victim’s name and purchases made. This remains under investigation.

On Aug. 26: Samantha T. Crawford, 40, of Plainfield was arrested for driving under the influence
during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Scott Leyden. Crawford was transported to headquarters and processed.
