Attempted Burglary Reported At Scotch Plains Business
A Scotch Plains man was also arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic stop recently, police report.
SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — An attempted burglary was reported at a Scotch Plains business in the 400 block of Park Avenue recently.
On March 11, the owner found damage to a back door while opening for the day, Scotch Plains Police report.
The scene was processed by the detective bureau and is under investigation.

On March 7: Shanisse T. Smith, 33, of Inwood, New York was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Parsippany during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Damian Serafin. Smith was transported to headquarters and processed.
On March 7: Omari M. Moody, 24, of Plainfield was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Jersey City by Patrolman Damian Serafin. Moody was processed at headquarters.
On March 7: A North Plainfield resident reported their vehicle was damaged while parked in the Valleyscent Apartments on Front Street. This remains under investigation.
On March 8: Justin M. Scoon, 28, of Union was arrested for providing false information to Patrolman Luis Pereira during the course of a motor vehicle accident investigation. He additionally had an active warrant out of the Elizabeth. Scoon was transported to headquarters and processed.
On March 8: A resident on Jefferson Avenue reported receiving a fraudulent check during the course of an online transaction. This remains under investigation.
On March 10: Franck Nguetsop-Tiokeng, 21, of Piscataway was arrested for driving under the influence during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Mike Baltazar. Nguetsop-Tiokeng was transported to headquarters and processed.
On March 10: A resident on Spruce Mill Lane reported their vehicle was scratched during the overnight hours.
On March 11: Joshua R. Acosta, 23, of Scotch Plains was arrested for driving under the influence
during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Sgt. Brad Belford. Acosta was transported to headquarters and processed.
