Attempted Luring Near Scotch Plains School
Scotch Plains Police are reminding the younger population of Stranger Danger and to not get into the vehicle of anyone they do not know.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — An attempted luring was reported in the area Park Middle School on Park Avenue Friday morning, police report.
A man driving a black vehicle approached a student of Park Middle School and said to "hop in the car", Scotch Plains Police report.
The student went home and reported the incident to the police. Police are currently investigating.

"The (Scotch Plains Police Department) would like to remind our younger population of Stranger Danger and to not get into the vehicle of anyone that they do not know," police report. "If anyone ever attempts to get them into a vehicle, they are to get to a safe place as quickly as possible and report the incident to a responsible adult."
