Back To School: Scotch Plains-Fanwood 2021-22 School Calendar

SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Scotch Plains and Fanwood, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Scotch Plains-Fanwood Regional School District.

The first day of school for most students in Scotch Plains and Fanwood is Sept. 9.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point.

Currently, the Scotch Plains-Fanwood district said it "the district is closely monitoring the need for masking in the fall." Like last year, these policies could change any time before the first day

Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

Scotch Plains-Fanwood Regional School District

• First Day: Thursday, Sept. 9
• Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24 (half-day). Nov. 25 and 26
• Winter Break: Dec. 24 - Dec. 31
• Spring Break: April 15 - 22
• Last Day: June 22 (half-day)
