The 35-unit development by Landmark Companies is located at 2nd Street and LaGrande Avenue. This project finished off the transformative decade-long redevelopment of Fanwood’s core downtown block. Station Square at Fanwood brought unique housing options to Fanwood with 28 townhome-style rentals and seamlessly integrated affordable housing comprised of 5 duplex apartments over 2 flats. Thanks to a special partnership with ARC of Union County the two flats were specially designed for individuals with disabilities.
Many obstacles were overcome to create these beautiful homes. It sits on the site of the former Dean Oil Company which left behind a polluted corner of land that sat fenced in and overgrown for a decade. Through the diligence of developer Landmark Companies and the support of Mayor Colleen Mahr, the Borough Council, and Planning Board, the land was cleaned and finally certified by the NJ Dept. of Environmental Protection, and Station Square was able to begin construction.

Today, these rental properties are highly desirable homes for couples, families, and singles alike. Once completed, they were filled within just a few weeks. We are proud of this truly collaborative effort to transform an eyesore into one of the jewels of our redevelopment.
