Union County Club Announces Recipients of
Community Awards, College Scholarships
The Union County Club of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Club, Inc., has announced the 2026 awardees of its 53rd annual Founders’ Day celebration.
They are Ms. Jean Nash Wells, recipient of the Sojourner Truth Award; Union County Commissioner Rebecca L. Williams, Professional Woman of the Year Award; Ms. Saleemah Staten, Businesswoman of the Year Award; and Reverend Clarence Bulluck, Man of the Year Award.
The awards recognize the recipients’ significant contributions to their communities and as role models.
The Union County Club also announced the six winners of its college scholarships for 2026.
They are Skylar E. Adams, Cherry Hill High School; Cheyenne S. Cora of Elizabeth, Academy for Performing Arts, Scotch Plains; Brooke L. Jules, Carteret High School; Paloma R. Diaz Martinez, Eastside High School, Paterson; Bella M Fajardo, Westfield, Union County Vocational-Technical High School; and Kamryn A. Nesmith, Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School.
