Car Burglary, Theft, DUI Reported In Scotch Plains
The rear window of a car parked in Scotch Plains was smashed overnight and several items were taken, police report.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — A car burglary was among the incidents reported by police last week in the borough.
On June 15, a resident in the 400 block of Grant Ave. reported a car burglary.
The rear window was smashed overnight and several items were taken. This remains under investigation, police report.

On June 11: Aaron Z. Miller, 27, of Scotch Plains was arrested on outstanding warrants out of Watchung, Westfield and Berkeley Heights by Patrolman Dave Belford. He was transported to headquarters and
processed.

On June 12: Daniel J. Foti, 48, of Scotch Plains was arrested on outstanding warrants out of Scotch Plains and Piscataway by Patrolman Mike Smolinski. He was transported to headquarters and processed.
On June 13: Donnell A. Amaker Jr., 20, of Hillside was arrested for possession of marijuana during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Scott Leyden. He was transported to headquarters and processed.
On June 13: The owner of the Route 22 Auto Center located at 2650 Rt. 22 reported a theft. An engine and transmission was stolen from the rear of the property sometime overnight. This remains under investigation.
On June 14: A resident in the 2000 block of Grand St. reported the theft of a Yeti cooler from the rear of his truck. Theft occurred between the hours of 2 and 9 p.m.
On June 14: A resident in the 1700 block of E. Second St. reported the theft of their child’s black Mongoose BMX bike. The bike was stolen from Farley Park between the hours of 7 and 8:30 p.m.
On June 15: Jamar G. Turner, 35, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana during a motor vehicle accident investigation conducted by Patrolman Gerard Rites. He was transported to headquarters and processed.
On June 15: Lisa M. Greene, 39, of Livingston was arrested and charged with possession of heroin, possession of a hypodermic needle and possession of drug paraphernalia during a motor vehicle accident
investigation conducted by Officer Melissa Rivera and Patrolman Bryan Frew. She was transported to headquarters and processed.
On June 16: A resident in the 1200 block of Sunnyfield Lane reported the theft of golf clubs from his vehicle.
On June 17: Rafael A. Parrachacon, 37, of Summit was arrested and charged with driving under the
influence during a motor vehicle accident investigation conducted by Patrolman Chris Ostrowski. He was transported to headquarters and processed.
On June 17: Joe N. Johnson, 37, of Newark was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Newark during a disturbance call by Patrolman Bryan Frew. He was transported to headquarters and processed.
