Car Left Running Stolen Out Of Scotch Plains

Scotch Plains also reported fraud, theft, and charging a township mand with driving under the influence.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — A car left running was stolen from the township on Monday, said police.

On Monday, a Country Club Lane resident reported someone stole their 2011 Honda Pilot.

The resident left the vehicle running and a witness saw a man jump in the vehicle and drive away. The vehicle has been entered stolen, said police.

On Feb. 5: A 30-year-old Scotch Plains man was arrested for driving under the influence during a motor vehicle accident investigation conducted by Patrolman Mike Baltazar. He was taken to headquarters and processed.

On Feb. 7: A resident in the 300 block of Farley Avenue reported the theft of tools.
