Champions of Illusion @ the Scotch Plains Public Library

On Saturday, September 29 at 3pm Martinez-Conde and Macknik visit ScotLib to give a presentation on their mind-blow book about illusions.

Optical illusions are fun—we all enjoy having our eyes fooled!

But to scientists, illusions provide valuable insight into how our visual perception works and how it’s evolved over time. Susana Martinez-Conde and Stephen Macknik are the founders of the Best Illusion of the Year Contest and leading researchers in the neurology of vision. Their book Champions of Illusion presents an amazing collection of stunning eye-fooling images, accompanied by explanations of what’s really going on between our eyes and our brains.

Join the library staff on Saturday, September 29 at 3pm when Martinez-Conde and Macknik visit the library to give a presentation on their book. Copies will be available to purchase and have signed by the authors.
