Carl Javier, a registered nurse at The Chelsea at Fanwood assisted living residence, surprised girlfriend Breanna McMahon Wednesday, May 21, 2014, with a surprise proposal at dawn on the beach in Long Branch, NJ. As the couple was strolling along the beach enjoying a spectacular sunrise, a photographer suddenly appeared out of nowhere and Carl went to his knee to ask Breanna to marry him. She said yes. Javier has been employed by The Chelsea for the past year and a half. He is a resident of Union, NJ. Breanna, a California native who came to New Jersey to attend Princeton University, will graduate June 3rd with a degree in molecular biology.
