Community Input Needed To Improve Fanwood Train Station
The borough's goal is to better integrate the Fanwood Train Station into the fabric of the community.

FANWOOD, NJ — Residents are being asked to share their opinions on how to improve the Fanwood Train Station.
Fanwood was recently chosen for a Community Planning Assistance Program by the New Jersey Chapter of the American Planning Association to receive volunteer community planning assistance.
Experts from across New Jersey are coming together to help Fanwood assess existing conditions around the borough's Transit Hub and collect community input.

The resulting recommendations will address improvements to connectivity, access and usage as well as other physical improvements.
The borough's ultimate goals is to better integrate the Fanwood Train Station into the fabric of the community. With this planning assistance, the Borough will be able to develop a plan that fosters the continued transformation of Fanwood's Town Center area into a vibrant, pedestrian-oriented hub that accommodates many uses, contains fully integrated multi-modal connections, and better leverages the numerous nearby community resources such as downtown restaurants, the Patricia M. Kuran Cultural Arts Center and the Fanwood Library.
