COVID Vaccine Rate Hits 75% In NJ: See Scotch Plains' Numbers
NJ is only 1 of 7 states in the US to hit those 75 percent fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Scotch Plains and Fanwood are not far behind.

SCOTCH PLAINS/FaNWOOD, NJ — Gov. Phil Murphy recently announced that more than 75 percent of eligible New Jersey residents are now vaccinated against COVID-19. And Scotch Plains and Fanwood are not far behind that benchmark.
New Jersey is only one of seven states in the United States to hit this benchmark.
"We crossed the threshold of all eligible individuals ages 12 and older who live, work or study in New Jersey who has completed a vaccination course," said Murphy during a news conference on Wednesday. Read More: New Jersey COVID Vaccination Rate Surpasses 75 Percent

As of Friday, 360,267 Union County residents have been fully vaccinated out of the roughly 575,000 residents or over 62 percent, according to the state's COVID-19 dashboard.
