Daytime Home Burglary Reported In Scotch Plains
Fraud, theft, and DUI and warrant arrests were also reported in Scotch Plains.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — A Scotch Plains home was reportedly burglarized recently, police report.
On Jan. 11, a Fawnridge Drive resident reported a burglary where the rear door to the home was forced open, police report.
The burglary occurred during the daytime hours.

On Jan. 8: Antoine L. Friday, 33, of South Plainfield was arrested on outstanding warrants out of
Hillside and Newark by Patrolman Jason Everitt during a motor vehicle stop. Friday was transported to headquarters, processed and released after posting bail.
On Jan. 8: Tyrus B. Rucker, 28, of Plainfield was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of New Brunswick during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Chris Ostrowski. Rucker was transported to headquarters and processed.
On Jan. 9: A resident on Warren Street reported a fraud. Someone attempted to open a credit card in the victim’s name. This is under investigation.
On Jan. 9: Rizksaids Reyad, 36, of North Plainfield was arrested for harassment during an investigation at the Shell Gas Station located at 2246 North Ave. in Scotch Plains by Patrolman Damian Serafin. Reyad was transported to headquarters and processed.
On Jan. 9: Gabriela Reyna-Romero, 28, of Rahway was arrested on outstanding warrants out of
Piscataway during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Andrew Gitto. Reyna-Romero was transported to headquarters and processed.
On Jan. 11: A resident on Mountain Avenue reported a fraud. Someone attempted to use the victim’s credit card information online. This is under investigation.

On Jan. 11: A resident of Forked River reported the theft of a purse from a vehicle parked in the lot of the YMCA located at 1340 Martine Ave. in Scotch Plains. This is under investigation.
On Jan. 12: Stephen Green, 23, of Bronx, New York was arrested for possession of marijuana during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Zack Vonlangen. Green was transported to headquarters and processed.
On Jan. 13: Corey K. Lee, 43, of Fanwood was arrested for driving under the influence during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Mike Baltazar. Lee was transported to headquarters and processed.
On Jan. 14: A resident on Gaycroft Drive reported a fraud. Someone opened a credit card in the victim’s name. This is under investigation.
On Jan. 14: Cristobal Avila, 28, of Plainfield was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Scotch
Plains by Patrolman Richard Hernandez. Avila was transported to headquarters and processed.
On Jan. 14: A resident on ODonnell Avenue reported a fraud. Someone opened several credit cards in the victim’s name.
