Demi Is Scotch Plains-Fanwood's Pet Of The Week

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — Meet Demi! She has been chosen as Scotch Plains-Fanwood Patch's Pet Of The Week.

"This is our Maltipoo Terrier named Demi. We rescued her a year ago this month. She cured our ills, we had lost another puppy early last year to a brain tumor, and she is what we needed to move on.

Demi is such a sweet 2-year-old. She is constantly looking for affection, and loves to bring her toys to our four children to play keep away with.

She loves to spread kisses, and wakes up our kids when she is bored on early mornings. She loves us and we love her!"

Do you think your pet should be Scotch Plains-Fanwood's Pet of the Week?

Participating in the Pet of the Week happenings is simple: submit your nomination by emailing alexis.tarrazi@patch.com with subject line "Scotch Plains-Fanwood Pet Of The Week." Be sure to include a photograph or two of your pet, a paragraph about what makes him or her so great, and the town you're from.

You can choose to include your name, but you don't need to. Then just keep an eye out for a photo of your pet on the Patch!

The photo can be of a present pet, or it can be a baby picture of the adult pet you're so proud of today. All photos must be property of the submitter.

Additionally the chosen Pet of the Week will receive 20 percent off any single item in Dukes's Pet Den in Scotch Plains. And winners can also bring their pet into the store, located at 417 Park Ave., in Scotch Plains for a picture. Duke's will put them up on their Facebook page as well.
