Driver With Multiple Flat Tires Charged With DUI In Scotch Plains

A Lenape Way resident also reported seeing a man burglarizing his wife's car before running off.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — A driver with multiple flat tires was charged with DUI in Scotch Plains, police report.

On Sept. 29: George L. Mahr, 52, of Madison was arrested for driving under the influence during a welfare check at the southside soccer fields located at 1910 Raritan Rd. Officer Ted Florio and Officer Melissa Rivera located Mahr in the parking lot with several flat tires. Mahr was transported to headquarters and processed.

On Sept. 24: A resident of Evelyn St. reported a theft. Victim’s purse was stolen from her vehicle and her credit cards were used to make unauthorized transactions. This incident is under investigation.

On Sept. 26: Maudsley M. Charles, 31, of Irvington was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Irvington during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Gerard Rites. Transported to headquarters and processed.

On Sept. 27: A resident on Rambling Dr. reported a fraud. Someone opened a Verizon account in the victim’s name.

On Sept. 27: Matthew J. Rozmerski, 22, of North Plainfield was arrested for driving under the influence during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Chris Ostrowski. Rozmerski was transported to headquarters and processed.

On Sept. 28: A resident on Lenape Way reported a car burglary. The resident came outside at approximately 6:15 a.m. and saw an unknown male inside his wife’s vehicle. The suspect fled the area and responding officers were unable to locate the suspect. This incident is under investigation.

On Sept. 28: Daniel P. Viola, 18, of Green Brook was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.
Also arrested was Genesis M. Rodriguez, 20, of Dunellen also charged with possession of marijuana. The arrests were the result of a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Gerard Rites. Several juveniles were also in the vehicle and were taken into protective custody and turned over to their parents.

On Sept. 29: Jannicia D. Bullock, 42, of Plainfield NJ was arrested for driving under the influence during
a motor vehicle accident investigation conducted by Patrolman Bryan Frew. Single vehicle accident with no injuries reported. Bullock was transported to headquarters and processed.

On Sept. 30: Brian C. Quezada, 29, of South, Piscataway was arrested on outstanding warrants out of Newark and Bound Brook during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Jason Everitt. Quezada was transported to headquarters and processed.
