Drug, Warrant Arrests Made By Fanwood Police
Fanwood Police reported making four arrests on charges of marijuana possession and outstanding warrants.
FANWOOD, NJ — Fanwood Police reported making four arrests on charges of marijuana possession and outstanding warrants.
Fanwood Police blotter:
On Jan. 27 at 5:25 p.m.: Officer made a motor vehicle stop at East 2nd Street and Wiley Avenue for a motor vehicle violation. A check of the driver, Tayeire Thomas, 22, of Plainfield shows an active warrant out of New York City, Linden and Plainfield. Thomas was arrested, processed and turned over to New York City Police.

On Jan. 28 at 4:23 p.m.: Officer made a motor vehicle stop at Beech Avenue and South Avenue for a motor vehicle violation. A check of the driver, Ladohn Courtney, 39, of Roselle shows an active warrant out of U.S. District Court. Courtney was arrested, processed and turned over to the U.S. District Courts.
On Jan. 31 at 10:08 a.m.: Officer made a motor vehicle stop at Terrill Road and South Avenue for a motor vehicle violation. A check of the driver, Nichol Sanchez, 40, of Scotch Plains shows an active warrant out of Mountainside. Sanchez was arrested, processed and released by Mountainside Municipal Court.

On Feb. 2 at 12:55 p.m.: Officer made a motor vehicle stop at Terrill Road and North Avenue for a motor vehicle violation. While the Officer was speaking with the driver, Matheus Deoliveira-Campos, 29, of Newark he could detect a strong odor of marijuana. Deoliveira-Campos told the Officer that the marijuana was in the back seat. The Officer recovered the marijuana and placed the driver under arrest, processed, charged with possession, motor vehicle violations and released pending his court appearance in Fanwood Municipal Court.
