SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ — Meet Druna! She has been chosen as Scotch Plains-Fanwood Patch's Pet Of The Week.
"Druna was named after the Norwegian folk band, Wardruna, because that was who her rescuer was listening to when Druna was rescued. Dru was found at a truant girls school in Tupelo, MS. Her rescuer , fellow artist MK Spencer posted her on Facebook. I saw her photo and said “ MINE!”

I met MK half way in Roanoke, Virginia, to pick up Dru. At first sight I said “ She is perfect!”
Druna is Lab/hound/Great pyrannees mix. She fit in happily with my three cats and my other dog. Everyone loves her and she loves everyone.

She had heart worm so we had to cure her of that but all is well now. We are attending dog training at St. Hubert’s so we can do agility courses for fun. Druna is the sweetest, best dog I have ever known. What a gift!"
